What Is Included?

You are purchasing the official entrance ticket to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and it will only give you access to the Inca ruins located in Circuit 3D of the Inca citadel. In addition, you will be able to climb to the top of Huchuy Picchu mountain. The Huchuy Picchu mountain trail takes approximately 1 hour to complete. Availability

Huchuy Picchu entrance tickets are available from June 1st to October 15th. The trail to Huchuy Picchu is closed from October 16th to May 31st.

Fitness Requirements

The hike to Huchuy Picchu mountain is considered moderate. The walk to the summit follows stone paths for approximately 1 kilometer or .62 miles. The walk is suitable for people of all ages. The path is not dangerous. It is also recommended to pay attention to each step. The return path is the same route as the outbound path.

Terms & Conditions

Your ticket to Machupicchu + Huchuy Picchu can be shown electronically or printed on paper. Your Machupicchu ticket will be accepted from a cell phone or mobile device as long as it shows the ticket barcode. You must also provide your original passport. The name on your passport and your Machupicchu ticket must match.

All of the Huchuy Picchu tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. In the case Huchuy Picchu is closed on the date of your visit, you can still enter Machupicchu and you will be given a refund for the difference in ticket price. The refund will be automatically issued back to your credit card used to pay for your ticket. All Huchuy Picchu tickets are valid for 1 day only, for the date and times stated on the ticket. You cannot re-enter with this ticket, so please plan ahead as there are no bathrooms inside Machu Picchu. And no food is allowed inside Machu Picchu in order to preserve this world wonder for future generations.

Cancellations or refunds of Machupicchu tickets are not allowed by Peru's Ministerio de Cultura. The Ministry of Culture only allows you to change the date of your visit. To make a change, there is an administrative fee of $5USD + a percentage of the ticket cost:
30% if 24hr before original visit date
25% if 48hr before original visit date
10% if 72hr before original visit date.
